Video Game System. Entertainment takes a new form. With the development and integration technology for various aspects of our lives, traditional entertainment such as drama theater and the performing arts are replaced by so-called "electronic entertainment". There you have a digital film and animation variety that you can watch at the cinema or in your home entertainment system, cable television system (CTS), and video game systems, which are popular not only for young and old gamers but also to game developers, only for the development of innovative technologies that they can use to improve the existing game system.
Video Game System. Intended to play video games, although there is a modern game system that allows you to have access through other forms of entertainment using the game system (such as watching DVD movies, listen to MP3 music files, or surfing the Internet). Thus, often referred to as "interactive entertainment computer" to distinguish the game system of the machine used for various functions (such as personal computers and arcade games). The first generation of video game systems started when Magnavox (an electronics company that produces television, radio, and gramophones or record player) released its first video game system, which is the Magnavox Odyssey was designed by Ralph Baer. Odyssey popularity lasted until the release of the Atari video game Pong. Magnavox realize that they can not compete with the popularity of Pong game, so in 1975 they created the Odyssey 100 video game system that will play Atari Pong game produced.
Video Game System. The second-generation video game system comes a year after the release of Odyssey 100. In 1976, Fairchild released FVES (Fairchild Video Entertainment System), which utilizes a microprocessor programmed so that the game cartridge can hold a single ROM chip to store microprocessor instructions. However, because the "video game crash" in 1977, Fairchild abandoned the video game industry. Atari and Magnavox stayed in the video game industry. The rebirth of video game systems started when Atari released Space Invaders arcade popular. The industry is suddenly revived, with many players made the purchase of a video game system Atari just for Space Invaders. In other words, with the popularity of Space Invaders, Atari dominated the video game industry during the 80s.
Video Game System. The third generation video game system formed after the release of Nintendo Famicon in 1983. This is supported by full-color, high resolution, and systems background tile game. Was originally launched in Japan and then brought to the United States in the form of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1985. Atari Space Invaders and the like, the release of Nintendo Super Mario Brothers famous for great success, which really revived the video game industry suffered in the early months of 1983. Sega is intended to compete with Nintendo, but they failed to establish a large market share. That is until 1988 when Sega released the Sega Genesis in Japan on October 29 the same year and on 1 September 1989 in the United States and Europe. Two years later, Nintendo released the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1990.
Video Game System. Atari back with their new video game system, which is the Jaguar and 3DO. Both systems can display more colors on the screen and made use of the CD is not the end of the game cartridge, making it more powerful than the Genesis and SNES. Nintendo, on the other hand, chose to release a new game like Donkey Kong Country video game system rather than generating new ones. Vectorman and Virtua Racing Sega follows. Several years later, Sony, Sega, and Nintendo released the fifth generation of video game systems (PlayStation, Saturn, and N64, respectively). The sixth generation of game systems followed, which involves Sega (Dreamcast, the latter their video game systems and Internet-ready system is the first game), Sony (PlayStation 2), Nintendo (Game Cube which is the first system to use the game CD), and newcomer Microsoft (Xbox).
The latest generation of video game systems are now slowly entering the gaming industry. These are as follows:
• Microsoft's Xbox, which was released on 22 November 2005;
• Sony PlayStation 3, which is scheduled to be released on November 11, 2006
(Japan), 17 November the same year (North America), and in March 2007 (Europe),
and
• Nintendo Wii, which is scheduled to be released on November 19, 2006 (North
America), December 2 the same year (Japan), December 7 (Australia), and
December 8 (Europe).
Development video game system does not end here. There will be future generations of game systems being developed at present, which will challenge the way we define "entertainment". Identical to the VideoGame System.
